17-year-old Esha Singh bags silver on her senior ISSF World Cup debut

17-year-old Esha Singh bagged a silver in the women’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF shooting World Cup, Cairo 2022 on Monday.
Esha finished with a total of 578 in the qualification round and secured 6th position to move to the final. The 17-year-old then finished on top in the final stage-part 1 relays 2 and then again in the medal round to progress to the gold medal match. However, she could not match two-times Olympic medalist Anna Korakaki and lost 4-16 to settle for a silver.
This is the first senior World Cup for Esha, who has had a successful career at the junior level. Earlier in the day, Saurabh Chaudhary had won gold in the men’s 10m air pistol event.
