2021 Men’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup is all set to start from 24th November at Kalinga Stadium, Bhuvaneswar. The Junior Hockey World Cup, which started in 1979, has seen five different winners until now. Germany, who has won the tournament 6 times, has been the most successful team by some margin. Defending champions India is in second place with two titles while Argentina, Pakistan and Australia have each won the tournament once.
16 teams have been clubbed into four groups. Few of the top teams have opted out of the upcoming Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup because of COVID-19 related international travel restrictions. Australia, New Zealand and England have withdrawn from the event, meanwhile, the United States, Canada and Poland came in as replacements for the showpiece event. Here is how teams are placed:
Pool A: Belgium, Chile, Malaysia and South Africa.
Pool B: India (H), Canada, France and Poland.
Pool C: Korea, Netherlands, Spain and United States.
Pool D: Argentina, Egypt, Germany and Pakistan.

The Indian team will be captained by Vivek Sagar Prasad. The member of the Olympics bronze medalist was named FIH rising Star of the year for 2019. The Indian Team will be coached by none other than Graham Reid. Under the Australian coach, India won a bronze medal in the last Olympics.
