7 of the top top 10 in the olympics set to feature in the event including Silver and Bronze

Ladies Golfing action returns with the Scottish Open featuring some of the top golfers. The event started in 1986 is an integral part of the golfing calendar. USAs Stacy Lewis is the defending champion.The event will take place from August 12- August 15. The 144 strong player field includes the 24 from the top 50 ranked golfers. 31 golfers who featured in the Tokyo Olympics will feature of which 7 of them who finished in the top 10. Olympic Silver medalist of Japan Mone Inami and bronze medalist Lydia Ko of Newzealand both of them who pipped Aditi to win medals will be star attractions. The field will be playing for a $1.5 million purse.
The thrilling end to the Golf competition in the Tokyo Olympics has put golf into lime light in the country. All eyes were on the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Tokyo as India’s Aditi Ashok took everyone’s attention as she battled it out against the finest of the world. Despite narrowly missing out on a medal, Aditi became nations hero. Millions of Indians were searching for the rules of the sport, understanding Putt, Birdie, Bogey, Eagle, Club and all. So if you are interested there are enough Golfing action throughout the year. Although Aditi performance was surprise for many those who are following LPGA tours might have known what these golfers are capable of.

With a path breaking Olympics Aditi Ashok would like to continue her momentum and further create interest in golf among Indians to take up this niche sport which was not among the list of most Indian sports lovers.
Aditi complaints lack of Support from Authorities
Meanwhile speaking to National media said she had to travel 75 km from the games village to the Olympic golf course. And that meant on the final day she had to walk up at 3:00 am for the days play.While most other athletes in women’s golf stayed in hotels nearby the golf course. She said that was challenging . She also expressed concerns that the TOPS(The Olympic Podium Scheme) of the government might not suit golfers as ss as golfers qualify only 2 months before the Olympics and receiving funds at the time won’t benefit much
