Asian Volleyball Championship: India loses in their final group match

Indian men’s national volleyball team lost their final Pool A match of 2021 Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship against Japan in straight sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-18) at Chiba Port Arena in Japan on Sunday.

India was drawn into Pool A alongside h,osts Japan, Bahrain and Qatar. Earlier, the Indian team was handed their first defeat of the tournament by Bahrain in straight sets. India faced Qatar yesterday and GE Sridharan’s boys were once again disappointed. Qatari team got a comfortable victory in straight sets over the Indians.

The Indian team, which has been already knocked out, finished their Pool A campaign with 0 wins and 3 losses resulting from a bottom of the table finish.

India will now take part in the 9-16 classification round matches.
