BCCI announces annual player retainership for Men’s team: Shubman Gill and Mohamed Siraj added to the contract; Natarajan misses out

BCCI on Thursday announced the annual retainership for Team India for the contract period from Oct 2020 to Sep 2021. Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill and Axar Patel have been awarded new contracts. Hardik Pandya has been upgraded to the A category while Shardul Thakur has been promoted to the B category from the C category. Both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal have each dropped one category, to B and C respectively. Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav was demoted to C category from A category.

Payment structure:

A+ – 7 crores

A – 5 crores

B – 3 crores

C – 1 crore
