Blessing Muzarabani became the first Zimbabwean to be a part of IPL after 8 years. The 25-year-old was picked as a net bowler by Lucknow Super Giants.

There are also chances of him being picked as a replacement for Mark Wood for the upcoming season. Wood was ruled out of the tournament after picking up a right elbow injury during the first Test against West Indies earlier this month.

Muzarabani made his debut for Zimbabwe in 2017 and has represented his national side in 6 tests, 30 ODIs and 21 t20is so far. In T20Is, he has picked up 25 wickets at an average of 26.12 and an economy rate of 7.99.

The young pacer also featured in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League where he represented the Multan Sultans. He had also signed a three-year deal with the English county Northamptonshire as a Kolpak player. Muzarabani has established the strike bowler for his national side in all formats. In the shortest format, he operates in the power play and the death overs.
