Construction of Hockey Stadium in YBK starts in Kolkata
The West Bengal State Government has started the construction of a hockey stadium within the campus of the iconic Vivekananda YubaBharati Krirangan football cum athletic stadium .
The construction of the project , estimated to coast around 20 crores , started today (Saturday , 23rd Jan 2021) . The stadium will have a blue-yellow astro turf and a capacity of around 6000 with grass banks . The stadium will be built as per International Hockey Federation Standards and will have floodlghts and dressing rooms along with other facilities – state sports minister Arup Biswas announced .
