India lost the World Group I Round 1 tie against Finland by 1-3. After losing the first two matches, India played their third rubber yesterday. Bopanna/Ramkumar pair were up against Harri Heliovaara/Henri Kontinen pair in the third rubber. The Indian pair put their best match forward against their opponents. Both the teams were able to pull off only one break each. Eventually, the Finnish pair won the match in two straight tie-breakers.
Prajnesh played the fourth and final rubber of the tie against Niklas and defeated him in straight sets 6-3, 7-5. Prajnesh’s win in the rubber 4 was the only positive for India in the tie.
