Divij Sharan knocked out in Australian Open second round

Sharan and his partner Sitak handed a straight set lose to 10th seed pair Bruno Soares and Mate Pavic.

Divij Sharan was knocked out in Australian open second round.

The Indian,partnering Artem Sitak straight set lost to 10th seeded pairing of Bruno Soares and Mate Pavic.

In the court 3 encounter,both teams didnt concede any break points in the first set, whenforth it was pushed into the tie break and it was the Soares/Pavic pair who dominated through out the tie break to win the set by 7-6(2) in the tie breaker.

In the second set, Sharan/Sitak didnt have any chance to break the opponents serve and instead lost their own serve once. They failed to break back later on,and the Soares/Pavic pair went on to win the match by 7-6,6-3 in the second set.

That’s the end of the Indian campaign in Men’s and Women’s doubles.

Mixed doubles fixture starts tomorrow as Legendary Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna starting their campaign.
