East Bengal appoints new head of youth development


East Bengal FC has appointed former India international Tarun Dey as their head of youth development. He is an AFC A license holder.

A defender during his playing days, Dey played 12 years for the Red and Golds from 1982 to 1994. He also represented India in the 1984 Asian Cup. Dey has been involved with East Bengal as coach of some of their age group teams for the last few years. He has now been promoted to the post of the Head of Youth Development, a post held by Bastab Roy last season.

In another news, u18 team coach Ranjan Chowdhuri is also set to continue though there had been news that he might leave the club.
