SC East Bengal have roped in midfielder Ajay Chhetri and goalkeeper Suvam Sen to increase options for coach Robbie Fowler.
Ajay Chhetri hails from Manipur and has risen through the ranks of Bengaluru FC’s reserve side. The 21 year old is a defensive midfielder and played in the Durand Cup last season where he scored a goal against East Bengal themselves. He also had a loan spell at Hyderabad FC.
Suvam Sen is a veteran in Kolkata maidan circles. The 31 year old has turned out for a range of clubs in the CFL. He has represented Kalighat MS, Calcutta Customs and Bhawanipore SC. He recently played for United SC in the IFA Shield.
Both players have checked into EB’s team hotel in Goa.Chhetri can start training with the team right away while Sen will have to complete his quarantine period.
