FC Goa have roped in Jorge Ortiz Mendoza from Spanish 3rd division side Atletico Baleares. Mendoza is a graduate from La Liga club Getafe’s youth set up and made his senior debut in the Spanish 4th division with CD Madridejos. His career highlight was when he joined Atletico Madrid’s B team in 2018 and scored 3 goals in 19 matches.
He is primarily a right winger with a good scoring ability. FC Goa will be expecting a lot from the 28 year old after the Gaurs have lost services of big players like Hugo Boumous to Mumbai City FC.
It remains to be seen how this recruit turns out for the Juan Ferrando coached side.
