Happy Birthday Hitman

The way he plays totally looks like he has mastered the art. Just like a Picasso’s canvas ornated by the brush strokes.

He has the capability of making the ball pass from sight in any direction. Hitting the ball back in the middle of the park by mugging in any stage of the game, thanks to anticipation. With exquisite positional awareness, he was blooming as though he would just station himself and be mobile. He utilises his quality of extra time of watching the ball which makes it look like an effortless rendering.

Came into the limelight in 2007 World T20. The pressure of the crowd, the qualifier for the Semi final, the huge meaning of the day to the country – and India conceded advantage to host but nothing mattered to this 20-year-old youngster. The mid-wicket region was also cleared for a six by the 20 year-old, and he brought up his half century with a six on the last ball of the innings. He ended up with 50 off 40 balls, with 7 fours and 2 sixes.
