India at Tokyo Olympics – July 31 schedule – Amit Panghal and PV Sindhu are in action

Tokyo Olympics: India’s lone archer left at the Tokyo Olympics, Atanu Das will play his Round of 16 match against Takaharu Furukawa of Japan at 7.18 AM IST. The medal for the event will be decided on Saturday.

The women’s Hockey team plays their final group match against South Africa. This is a must-win encounter for them in order to qualify for the quarter-finals. World no.1 boxer Amit Panghal will be making his Olympic debut tomorrow. Pooja Rani will fight in the Middleweight quarter-final bout.

PV Sindhu will play her semi-final match against Taiwan’s Tai Tzu Ying. In Athletics, Seema Punia and Kamalpreet Kaur will be in action in the Women’s Discus. Youngster Murali Sreeshankar will also take field in Men’s Long Jump event.
