Indian badminton team on Wednesday were handed a tough in the 2021 Sudirman Cup which will take place between September 26 and October 3 at Vantaa, Finland.
The Indian has been clubbed alongside defending champions China, previous edition’s bronze medalist and hosts Finland in Group ‘A’.
The draw ceremony was held by the game’s governing body BWF at Kuala Lumpur.
Japan, the runners-up of the previous edition were drawn with Malaysia, England and Egypt in Group D.
Group C consists of Indonesia, Denmark, the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and Canada, while Group B compromises Chinese Taipei, Korea, Tahiti and Germany.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals draw will be held immediately after the last group match.
