India’s campaign in the BWF Denmark Open ended on Friday after Kidambi Srikanth lost his men’s singles quarterfinals matches at the $7500,000 Super Series event.
The World No.14 lost to World No.2 Chou Tien Chen of Taiwan in three sets 22-20, 13-21 16-21.
The other three Indians in the tournament had already made their exit from the tournament. Lakshya Sen crashed out in the round of 16 after being defeated by Hans-Kristian Vittinghus while Ajay Jayram and Subhankar Dey were both knocked out in the first round. After the Denmark Open, Sen, Jayram and Dey will travel to Germany to participate at the SaarLorLux Open in Germany, from Oct 27.
