Kidambi Srikanth lone Indian survivor at BWF Denmark Open

Kidambi Srikanth entered the men’s singles quarterfinal while youngster Lakshya Sen crashed out of the competition at the US$ 750,000 Denmark Open in Copenhagen on Thursday.

Fifth-seeded Kidambi Srikanth defeated Jason Anthony Ho-Shue 21-15 21-14 to move to the quarterfinals. He will face World No.2 Chou Tien Chen of Taiwan in the quarterfinals. Anthony had beaten India’s Shubhankar Dey in the first round.

It wasn’t a good day for the 19-year-old Lakshya Sen as suffered a defeat in his round of 16 clash against Danish veteran Hans-Kristian Vittinghus. The World No.27 lost 21-15, 7-21, 17-21.
