With the Indian Football season effectively over due to the COVID19 pandemic, clubs have now shifted their attention towards building and strengthening their squads for next season. Kolkata Clubs East Bengal and ATKMB have expectedly been active during this period.
ATK the another kolkata clubs have already added 2 more national team players to their roster by acquiring Manvir Singh and Subhashis Bose, as declared by supremo Sanjiv Goenka.
They are reportedly in talks with Mohun Bagan defender Fran Gonzales to fill up the place left void by Armando Mandi. Young MB starlets Subha Ghosh and SK Sahil might also make the ATK move in a few days.
The ATKFC management is also exepected to complete the contract extentions processes of stars Roy Krishna and David Williams in the days to come.
East Bengal on the other hand are yet to make it clear on which league they would be participating in, in the upcoming season. However that hasnt pushed back the officials ftom making a few quick signings. They have snapped up Goalkeeper Sankar Roy from Mohun Bagan, Dilliram Sanyasi from Punjab FC and Novin Gurung from Real Kashmir. They are also learnt to be in advanced talks with their former winger Bikash Jairu, who currently plies his trade with Jamshedpur FC. ATK FC striker and Indian international Balwant also expected to join the Red&Gold.
Indian Origin Iranian winger Omid Singh has signed for Kolkata Giants East Bengal FC for the next season. The signing is expected to make heads turn not only in the club circles but also in the entire Indian Football community.
