Nisha Nikita becomes 1st Indian Female Track Cyclist to be ranked World No.1 in an individual event

Nisha Nikita claimed the top spot in the Women's Junior Keirin event, Women's Junior Sprint team also ranked World No.1

Nisha Nikita created history by becoming 1st Indian female to be ranked World No.1 Junior in an individual event,she achieved World No.1 ranking in Women’s Junior Keirin in the latest UCI rankings. The Indian Junior Women’s Sprint team has also been ranked no.1.Nisha’s individual ranking in the Sprint event is 4th while teammate Trishya Paul is ranked 3rd.

In Men’s junior category,India have already been dominating the World rankings with Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam been ranked World No.1 Junior in all the 3 individual Sprint events-Sprint, Keirin and Time Trial . The Indian Junior Men’s Sprint team also holds the top spot. Teammate Rojith Singh is ranked 2nd and 3rd in Keirin and Sprint events.
