No Foreigners : Sudeva building one of the strongest Indian cores in the I League

After winning the bid for a direct entry into the 2020-’21 I-League , Sudeva Delhi FC had announced that they will not be roping in any foreigners and would be putting their faith on Indian players instead . This was a break from the usual practice in Indian club football , where clubs tend to build their squads revolving around the prowess of foreign recruits . Sudeva have already started training for the season ahead under Bhutanese coach Chencho Dorji and heres a list of the Indian players they have roped in so far –



1) Kean Lewis (winger , from Bengaluru FC , earlier played for Mohun Bagan)


2) Pintu Mahata ( winger , from SC East Bengal , earlier played for Mohun Bagan)


3) Manvir Singh (forward , from Indian Arrows / Kerala Blasters )


4) Gursmirat Singh Gill ( centre back , former Bengaluru FC )


5) Akashdeep Singh ( defender , from RG Punjab FC )


6) Sauriut Kima (Centre Back , from Bengaluru FC , former Jamshedpur FC )


7) Malsawmzuala (midfielder , former Jamshedpur FC , Delhi Dynamos and Bengaluru FC)


8) Zohmingliana Ralte ( centre back , from Chennaiyin FC , led Aizawl to the I League title in 2016-’17 , also played for NorthEast United)


9) Lalramhmunmawia ( from Aizawl FC , won Mizoram Premier League 2019-’20 with Aizawl )


10) William ( midfielder , former ATK Reserves)
