Rajasthan Royals sign young kiwi wicketkeeper-batsman as replacement for Buttler

Rajasthan Royals have signed New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips as a replacement player for the second half of IPL 2021. Phillips will replace Jos Buttler who has opted out as he and his wife are expecting their second child.
Glenn Phillips is a top-order attacking batsman who can also keep wickets. He has scored 506 runs in 22 T20Is at an average of 28.11 and a highly impressive strike rate of 149.70. His best performance came against West Indies last year where he struck 108 runs off 51 balls, smashing 10 fours and 8 sixes in his innings.
Phillips has been a key player for Auckland in New Zealand domestics and has also performed well for Jamaica Tallawahs in the CPL and for Welsh Fire in the Hundred.
