Former Manchester City Midfielder Samir Nasri could be joining Indian Super League outfit Kerala Blasters in the upcoming season .
Well known football agent Alexander Garini, who earlier reported about former Bengaluru striker Miku’s potential return to India, has revealed that Samir Nasri is in talks with the Blasters.
European News agencies like Marca, BeSoccer and VoetbalNieuws have reported that the former Sevilla midfielder could be headed for India from Belgian club Anderlecht when football restarts after the ongoing pandemic.
Alexander Garini is known for bringing the Manchester United Legend Dimitir Berbatov to Kerala Blasters and currently he has two of players in KBFC -Bartholomew Ogbeche and Vlatko Drobarov.
Samir Nasri is a well known French player who currently plays for Belgian Side Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht.
The French attacking midfielder has had great spells at English Premier League bigwigs Arsenal and Manchester City
Nasri is known for his dribbling, ball control and passing ability. He is described as a player whose “vision and imagination make him an unpredictable opponent”. His playing style, ability and cultural background have drawn comparisons to French legend Zinedine Zidane.
Nasri began his football career playing for local youth clubs in his hometown Marseille. At age nine, he joined professional club Olympique de Marseille.
In June 2008, Nasri joined Premier League club Arsenal on a four-year contract and In December 2010, he was named the French Player of the Year for his performances during the calendar year and In August 2011, after three seasons with Arsenal, Nasri joined Manchester City on a four-year contract.
Nasri is a former France youth international and has represented his nation at every level for which he was eligible.
Samir Nasri’s current market value is 1.62 million Euros, which is around 13 crore 11 lakhs in Indian Rupees.
As per ISL salary cap regulations each team can spend only 16.5 crore on player wages but this budget excludes the marquee player.
