Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu reached the semifinals currently underway at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Sixth-seeded P V Sindhu won against reigning world champion and World No. 1 Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in the quarterfinals. World No.7 defeated World No.1 21-15, 20-22, 21-13 in 51 minutes.
This is Sindhu’s 14th victory against the 24-year-old Japanese in the 23rd meeting between the two. Sindhu will face reigning Olympic champion Chen YuFei of China in the semifinal on Saturday.
