Tokyo Olympics: Saurabh Chaudhary qualifies for the final, Abhishek Verma eliminated

Tokyo Olympics: Saurabh Chaudhary qualified for the final of men’s 10m air pistol event at the Asaka Shooting Range on Saturday.

Asian Games gold medalist Saurabh Chaudhary hit a below-par 95 in the first round but put up a strong showing after that as he claimed the top spot with 586 points. The 19-year-old also hit 23 consecutive 10s.

The other Indian in the fray, Abhishek Verma, crashed out after finishing at 17th position with a score of 575.

The final will start at 1 PM IST on Saturday, which will feature the top eight shooters from the qualification round.
