Top 4 Indian transfers of ISL 2020-’21

The Indian transfer market saw a lot of buzz this time around with clubs fighting it out with each other for prized signatures. A lot of star Indian players changed their clubs this time around and here we look at 4 of these instances –


Sandesh Jhingan (ATK Mohan Bagan) – Sandesh Jhingan missed the entire 2019-’20 season with a knee injury. However that did no harm to his reputation as the number one Indian defender in the league. The centre back from Punjab joined ATK Mohun Bagan this season after being in talks with a lot of clubs, both domestic and foreign. Jhingan was KBFC’s most capped player with 78 appearances across 6 seasons.


Jeje Lalpekhlua (SC East Bengal) – Like Jhingan, the Mizo sniper couldnt play at all the previous season and will be looking to make a comeback. Jeje has 23 goals for India and is also the 2nd highest Indian goalscorer in the brief history of the Indian Super League, which he has won twice with Chennaiyin FC


Mandar Rao Desai (Mumbai City FC)  – A stalwart at FC Goa, Desai followed Sergio Lobera to Mumbai City FC along with a series of other players from the Gaurs. The leftback had a legend like status at his former club, being their captain and most capped player. He is now slowly cementing his spot in the national team as well.


Subhashis Bose (ATK Mohan Bagan) – Another regular in the Indian team, Bose joined Kolkata giants ATK Mohun Bagan this season. Bose is one of the most dependable players in the national team and joins the Green and Maroons following a spell at Mumbai City FC.
