Young South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman picked as replacement player by Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have signed South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman Tristan Stubbs as a replacement player. Stubbs will replace Tymal Mills who has sustained injury and has been ruled out of the remaining of the season.

Tristan Stubbs is an attacking batsman who bats in the middle-order. He can keep wickets and also bowls occasional off-breaks. Stubbs represents the Warriors in the South Africa domestic T20 tournament. He was recently debuted for SA ‘A’ squad against Zimbabwe. The 21-year-old has played 17 T20 matches overall and scored 506 runs @38.92 and a strike rate of 157.14. The youngster is also eligible to play for the Netherlands.
